Natalie Shoup

Natalie is currently completing her Masters in Education, Globalisation and International Development at the University of Cambridge. Her interests are around peacebuilding education, future of learning, and childhood spaces for learning and play. 

Natalie has been involved for the past six years with Developing Minds Foundation, most recently as Executive Director, supporting community-based NGOs focusing on youth education in Brazil and Colombia. Programs include computer literacy in City of God in Rio de Janeiro to reintegration of former child soldiers in Medellin. 

She is currently a Research Affiliate with Data-Pop Alliance, a coalition formed by MIT Media Lab, Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and the UK’s Overseas Development Institute. She was previously Program Manager of Data-Pop, working on many projects at the intersection of Big Data and development including trainings on data literacy and an initiative to promote access to private sector data for social good, the Open Algorithms project, with pilots in Senegal and Colombia.
